Easy to make, this national drink of Brazil is sweet and citrusy. They're also powerful and delicious, a dangerous combination that might explain why Brazilians love to dance so much.
Cut lime into quarters lengthwise. Remove any loose white pith. Place on bottom of glass, skin-side down. Top with sugar. With a muddle, pestle, or wooden spoon, lightly crush all the juice from the limes.
Add ice cubes and Cachaça and stir well. Serve with a lime slice.
