After a long, hot day at New Orleans’s Jazz Fest listening to great live music, drinking excessively, and eating amazing foods continuously, there is nothing quite as refreshing as an ice cold Strawberry Lemonade. Not at Jazz Fest right now? Give it a try, it’ll still be just as refreshing.
- Food Processor or blender
- 16 oz Fresh strawberries
- 1½ cup Fresh lemon juice
- 1 cup Sugar
- 3 cups Cold water
- Prep – Core, hull, and quarter strawberries. Puree in a blender or food processor with 3 tbsp of lemon juice until completely blended. If using fresh lemons, juice them.
- Make Lemonade – Pour pureed strawberries into a large pitcher. Add lemon juice and sugar. Stir to combine and dissolve sugar.
- Serve – Add cold water or a combination of soda water an water, to the pitcher. Stir to blend. Serve over ice.
