This is the sauce that Buffalo, NY’s famous Anchor Bar uses to toss their chicken wings in. There are endless versions of this sauce, but the root is typically Frank’s Hot Sauce and melted butter. Try it with MHT’s Baked Buffalo Wings.
Buffalo Chicken Wing Sauce
- Medium saucepan
- 1 cup Franks Hot Sauce
- 1 tsp Onion powder
- ½ tsp Salt
- ½ tsp Garlic powder
- 8 tbsp Unsalted butter, very cold and cut int small cubes
- In a medium saucepan over medium heat, add hot sauce, onion and garlic powders, and salt. Bring to a simmer, then reduce heat to low. Begin adding butter cubes a few at a time. Whisk to incorporate. When butter melts, keep adding a few butter cubes and whisking. Keep repeating until all the cubes have been incorporated. Remove from heat and cover until ready to use.
