Ingredients

  • 1 cup Brown sugar
  • ½ cup Honey
  • ½ cup Soy sauce
  • ¼ cup Rice vinegar (Sub: white vinegar)
  • ¼ cup Water
  • 3 tbsp Cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp Grated ginger
  • 6 cloves Garlic, minced

Instructions

  • Combine all the ingredients in a saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly.
  • Once sauce comes to a boil, reduce heat to low and simmer until slightly thickened, about 5 minutes. Serve or store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up-to a few weeks.

Notes

  • For a spicier sauce, add a pinch of cayenne or red pepper flakes.
  • For a thicker sauce, add a little more cornstarch at beginning of cooking.
  • For a smoother sauce, strain the sauce right after cooking.
