For 54 years, MHT’s Founder, Peter, and his high school friends from East Meadow, NY have been congregating each summer for the Misty Mountain Mauler Viking Feast (yes, that is a Lord of the Rings reference). The feast is part rager, and part memorial celebration for their friend Larry Grabin who passed when they were teens at the age 19.

The party is attended by those near and far, with a cornerstone cuisine of American BBQ and the addition of American and world cuisine sides, deserts, and drinks. This potluck affair is a blast, and always includes live music and copious amounts of tequila. MHT highly recommends a summer potluck affair- it’s a great way to enjoy the outdoors and also the host doesn’t have to do all of the cooking! MHT typically provides suggested recipes for guests to bring along.
